Chiropractic Adjustments
Whole Life Family Chiropractic offers many different techniques/styles of implementing adjustments:
Diversified: A gentle hands-on chiropractic adjusting technique used to restore joint mobility and to reduce pain levels in both the spine and extremities. This technique is the most commonly used by chiropractors.
Thompson: A full-spine chiropractic adjusting technique that uses a high-velocity, low amplitude procedure using a drop table to assist in the correction of vertebral subluxation. Using the drop table allows the doctor to use less force, decreasing doctor fatigue and making it easier on the patient.
Cox-Flexion/Distraction: A gentle, non-force adjustment procedure to help the spine heal naturally. This technique decompresses the spine by applying gentle stretching or traction to the lower spine. The Cox-Flexion/Distraction technique is performed on a special table (designed by Dr. Cox), which has moving parts to effectively separate the different parts of the spine. The combination of this special adjustment table and very gentle pressure utilizes flexion-distraction and decompression to increase the disc height between vertebrae, decompressing the spinal column and restoring the spinal joints to their proper alignment and range of motion.
Logan-Basic: A very low force treatment that some chiropractors use. It involves the muscular structure that surrounds the sacrum and is used as a lever system. The doctor puts light pressure on a leverage spot on the sacral bone while the patient is in a face down position. This technique is great for infants and toddlers.
Webster Protocol
Dr. Kelly is certified in the Webster technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
Nutritional Support
The Western diet is comprised mostly of processed and refined foods. These foods are commonly eaten at the expense of nutrient-dense whole foods. To complicate matters more, we are exposed to many challenges in our environment, which makes nutritional support important. Therefore, dietary supplements can help fill nutrient gaps and support health.
Ask Dr. Kelly how incorporating supplements in your daily routine can enhance your lifestyle and help you become healthy and whole.
